OHIO – Jonathan White (6-5, 230, Combo Guard/Forward, Cleveland, OH), a No.1 Exterior Player of the 2013 iBall FOCUS camp, signed a professional contract with Lima Express of the Premier Basketball League. He was a recent was selection to the Higher Elevation Sports International Tour to Austria.
White has all the tools-of-the-trade. He showcased great leadership skills with intense energy in the iBall FOCUS camp in competitive drills which where led by Coach Eric Cantrell. As a high IQ player, he leads by example in the following traits: athleticism, shooting, offensive versatility, rebounding and defense.
Here are some of Jonathan’s career ‘highlights’:
- In 2012, he played in a U.S. Semi-Pro team – Charleston Gunners (PBL)
- Recruited as a guard of the high school, he continued to follow his passion and started playing at the University of Charleston (West Virginia)
- He became the relentless rebounder and upgraded to the 17th position in the nation (averaging 10 per game). Later, he was in the Top 10 of all-time in University of Charleston. His average in a double double was 11.7 points, 10.0 rub. During the junior season, he used to shoot just under 40% from 3-PT range. Shot over 50% in both of his junior and senior years.
- Scored 1000+ career points for the Golden Eagles
- He was named Second Team All-WVIAC, WVIAC All-Tournament Team and won the Sparky Adams Award (2010-2011) for outstanding sportsmanship and leadership in the WVIAC (senior award)
