Cook inks deal with BK Kaspiy Kazakhstan


ryan-cook-iball-united-pro-combineKAZAKHSTAN – Ryan Cook  (6-2, G, Laurel, MD) has signed a professional contract with BK Kaspiy Aktau. He played at  Sloboda Tuzla in Bosnia and Herzegovina Division I, last season.

In 22 games altogether, Cook had 10.8 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 1.8 apg and 1.0 spg. Ryan was awarded the title as the best player in the league and received Bosnia and Herzegovina League All-Imports Team Award. Cook graduated from University of Maryland -Baltimore County (2013). He was in the First Team and All-Basketball-I.Q. Team Selection at the 2013 iBall Pro Combine. Overall, he has scored 16.0 points and 2.5 steals per game which ranked No.2 in the iBall Pro Combine.

Quick highlights of Cook’s career:

  1. Ryan was named the ‘UMBC Most Valuable Athlete’ at The University of Maryland Baltimore County (“UMBC”) (NCAA D1), American East All-Tournament Team, and 2nd Team All-American East Conference.
  2. He led statistics by averaging an impressive 15.4 pts, 6.1 reb, 1.9 ast., and shooting 38.5% from 3-pt range.
  3. His overall career points sum up to 1505 points. Later, he played for both Chestnut Hill (NCAA D2) in 2008 and UMBC in 2011.
