DOMINICAN REPUBLIC – Willi Estrella (6’7 PF, Santiago, Dominican Republic) has a pro-contract signed with Club Domingo Paulino.  His pro basketball debut was with Richmond Elite in ABA.

Willie was named second team All-Tournament in the 2014 iBall Pro Combine. He was ranking 4th in offensive rebounds and 4th in overall rebounds against top free agents in the United States.

He has a superior upper and lower body strength and showcases a solid left jump hook. He is extremely active on the offensive and defensive glass. He works well at the defensive end of the floor and disrupts taller offensive players with his physicality and great strength to leverage and disturb balance of the opponent.. He faces up to the basket well, and shoots consistently with a turn-and-shoot jump shot.

Here are some of the highlights of Estrella’s career:

  • Played two years of college basketball with the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
  • Estrella won the 2 PSAC Championships and earned Elite 8 and Finalist Berths (2010-11), NCAA Tournaments.
  • Estrella locked career highs of 22 points and 11 rebounds in the PSAC Championship (2011). He finished at collegiate career shooting 61.4% from field.
