iBall United girls got next! We have seen a deluge of iBall United male basketball players get signed with various teams and agencies the last few months, but this time a couple of our ladies will get a shot at history. Under the leadership of Jersey Expressions owner Marsha Blount, Cassandra Callaway and Jynae Judson are among the first female players to get signed by a pro team in a league (WABA) that will be playing their maiden season.
Cassandra Callaway (5’7 PG, Bayonne NJ), a proven winner wants nothing less than a championship for herself and the Jersey Expressions. The former standout at the University of Albany will be expected to provide the Expressions backcourt with a steady and dynamic point guard play. Known for her scoring and play-making, Callaway is also a defensive fiend that will be welcome for a team with championship aspirations.
Jynae Judson (5’10 SG/SF, Newark, NJ), another Jersey native will be the teams version of a Swiss Army Knife. Judson, a former All-MAAC player from St. Peters University can play all perimeter positions if needed. She can stretch the floor with her perimeter shooting and is a very efficient player. Judson is also a savvy defender and is in constant motion on offense, a trait that gets her a lot of easy baskets in the course of the game. Couple that with Callaway’s ability to hit the open player and you have a good foundation for a winning team.
Callaway was a 2013 iBall Pro Combine First Team Selection and 2012 iBall Pro Combine MVP. In 2012, she was flown free by iBall United to training camp with a professional team in Asturias, Spain. Judson utilizes the iBall Profile to market her talents and abilities.
