Omari Howard Takes Flight for Westfalen Mustangs (Germany)

Omari Howard iBall Pro CombineOmari Howard (6-7  F,  Bridgeport, CT) is playing for the Westfalen Mustangs in Germany.  The high-flying talent out of the University of Bridgeport leads a talented team for a winning organization.  Competing in the German Bezirksliga, Westfalen is an emerging organization in German professional basketball.  Howard and the Mustangs are unbeaten in league play, and Westfalen has a current streak of 46 consecutive wins as an organization.

This past June, Howard was selected to the 2013 iBall Pro Combine All-Athletic Team where he dominated the competition for Vertical Jumping ability.  Howard leaped 3.5 inches higher than all combine players and logged a high jump of 39″ according to statistics by Maxout.  During tournament play, Howard averaged 5.5 pts, 2.5 reb. and shot a combine best 83.3% (#1) from the field.

A well-rounded player, Howard is accustomed to winning.  As a star for the Purple Knights, Howard led the University of Bridgeport to two ECC Championships (2013 & 2010).
