Joscar Demby (6’8 PF, Bolingbrook, IL) joins the fledging Independent Basketball Association (IBA) by signing with the International Racers. The upstart Racers will get a much needed jolt in the arm as Demby brings his skillset to the Lemont, Illinois based team.
The former Millikin Big Blue Collegiate standout played in the 2014 iBall Pro Combine and was named third team All-Tournament playing with and against some of the top free agents in the United States. Demby was also selected for the SMAA Overseas tour team last September.
Willi Estrella (6’7 PF, Santiago, Dominican Republic) finally made his pro basketball debut in the ABA when he signed with the Richmond Elite. The Elite’s drive to return to the ABA playoffs is set to air on ESPN3.
Estrella was named Second Team All-Tournament in the 2014 iBall Pro Combine by ranking 4th in offensive rebounds and 4th in overall rebounds playing against some of the top free agents in the United States. Willi also played two years of college basketball with the Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he won 2 PSAC Championships and earned Elite 8 and Finalist Berths in the 2010 & 2011 NCAA Tournaments. Anthony Winbush (6-7 205lb, SG SF, Darin Gravallese / Vector Sports) has signed with the Saint John Mill Rats of the National Basketball League of Canada.
The highly-skilled Winbush joins the likes of Acquille Carr, who entered the NBA Draft out of high school in 2014 and later starred for the Delaware 87ers of the NBDL.

Brian Nerney (6-3 200lb SG SF, Red Bank, NJ) has signed with the Chicago Steam of the American Basketball Association. The Steam is the reigning North Central Division Champion of the ABA for four consecutive years and finished the 2013-14 season with a record of 26-4, according to team administration.
Nerney continues his professional career after playing for the world-renown Washington Generals in 2012-13, where he toured around the globe playing the famed Harlem Globetrotters. Continue reading
Brandon Stephens (6’3 G, Dorchester, MA, Sports & Entertainment Promoters of America, Inc.) will get a fresh opportunity with a new team in the Providence Sky Chiefs in the ABA. The Chiefs, a newly established team in the ABA are currently building up their roster for the upcoming season which is looking to be a promising one as some of the games will be shown on ESPN 3.

Basketball AID has selected Desmond Wade (5’8″ PG, Hannan and Black Law Group) to tour in Germany. Wade joins iBall alum, Joscar Demby, for the international basketball showcase.

Derek Hall (7’0 F/C, Northampton, PA) found a new home just before the 2014-15 European basketball season starts by signing with Falko KC of Hungary’s A Division Basketball League. Hall returns to familiar soil as Hungary is where he played last year for Marso NYKK and was very solid in 32 games averaging 10 points and 6 rebounds per game.
